The Client
Alexia Silva is a Holistic Therapist who uses an integrative approach to healing. She works closely with her clients to assess their individual needs and together create a unique plan to help discover a path to peace.
Project Goals
Alexia came to me looking to co-create a cohesive brand and website that represented both her work as well as her unique essence. Her biggest request was simplicity, in both the presentation of her brand as well as the functionality of her site.
Brand Foundation
We began with a questionnaire that helped us discover the essence of who Alexia is and how she uses her healing gifts to help people. Below is a summary of what we uncovered, which helped us lock in her foundational core.
Core Values:
Truth. Integrity. Compassion. Peace.
Mission:
To share the gift of healing so that peace can flow freely.
Target Audience:
Anyone with an open spirit and heart.
How Her Brand Helps These People:
Alexia works closely with each client to assess their individual needs and together create a unique plan that helps them discover a path to peace. She helps her clients reconnect to their spirit family, transform their relationships, resolve unfinished emotional ties, and release energy blocks.
How She Wants Her Brand to Look + Feel:
Simple. Warm. Comforting. Peaceful.
Mood Board
The next step was to create the foundation for her visual identity, which we accomplished through a mood board. This not only helped us capture the look and feel she was visualizing for her brand, but also helped us get on the same page so that we could streamline the entire design process going forward.
Alexia wanted her brand to feel simple, warm, comforting, and peaceful. She also wanted to incorporate her love of olive branches and peonies, to help give it an organic "farmhouse aesthetic." For her color palette, she was visualizing rich jewel tones that included navy blue, emerald green, deep burgundy, and gold. It was also important to her that we include a neutral backdrop that helped emphasize her desire for simplicity.
Logos
Once we had the foundation down, it was time to create her logos! Alexia wanted to use an infinity symbol to represent her work, as it suggested "a seamless continuation of love and energy passing back and forth between souls." I thought that was a great idea and took it one step further by suggesting we incorporate her love of olive branches in with the infinity symbol to make everything even more unique to her. She loved that idea and here's what we ended up coming up with!
Business Cards
After designing her logos, it was time to design her business cards. We used an alternative logo for the front of the card and added a quote and her contact info to the back, keeping the color scheme consistent with her color palette.
Website Design
Once we finished her brand identity, it was on to the design and development of her website!
Alexia wanted her clients to feel a sense of calm and peace when they landed on her site and to have all her information on one page. This included her bio, description of services she offered, links to book appointments online, and client testimonials. Here's what we came up with!
Online Booking
We linked her site to her Square account (an online appointment booking system) so that her clients could easily schedule their appointments right online.
SEO
Her entire website was optimized for search engines (SEO) which will help her business get found more organically online from others who are searching Google and other search engines for the kinds of products and services she offers.
Branding Board
After the project was complete, I finalized her branding board with all of her design elements so that she would have something to refer to going forward. This is also good to have in case she ever works with another designer, social media manager or other type of team member because they will know which fonts to use, which colors to use and how to stay "on brand" when creating new promotional content.
