The more traffic you drive to your website or blog, the more leads you’ll get. And what do more leads bring? More potential business!
In this post, I’ll be sharing 4 quick things you can do TODAY that will help drive more traffic to your site. The best part is they don’t require a lot of tech skills and they are free! Perfect for new businesses or bloggers who are just starting out.
Ready to feel more empowered in your business? Well, let’s go!
1. Put a Link to Your Site in Your Email Signature
An email signature is like a business card; it shows you are professional, reminds recipients who you are and how they can get in touch with you.
By adding a link to your website in your email signature, you’re making it super easy for people to connect to your site for more information.
For an extra boost, add other important links, like your social media accounts, Yelp page, and maybe even a banner for a promo you’re running!
Email Signature Example:
How to Update Your Email Signature in Gmail:
- Open Gmail.
- In the top right, click the gear icon (Settings) > See all settings
- In the “Signature” section, add your signature text in the box. If you want, you can format your message by adding an image or changing the text style.
- At the bottom of the page, click Save Changes.

People can get busy. Make things simple and efficient for them to find out more information about you and your business and they will come.
2. Put Links All Over Your Facebook Business Page
Another simple, yet powerful thing you can do is add website links to your Facebook business page.
Where to put links to your site:
- The about section
- The description area of your profile pic
- The description area of your cover photo
- Any images or blog posts you add to your page

Adding your website link anywhere and everywhere you can think of makes it easier for people to connect to your website or blog to get more info because the link is always right there in their face. 😉
People can be lazy when it comes to searching for things nowadays (they want it now, not later!) so help them help you by putting a link to your site everywhere you can!
3. Create Multiple Local Business Listings
Help people discover your business online by creating free local business listings on sites such as Google, Yelp, Bing, LinkedIn, etc. Most importantly, make sure to include your website’s URL is in each listing!

4. Be Active in Facebook Groups
Another thing you can do, that I’ve personally had a ton of luck with, is to join Facebook groups where your target audience hangs out. Facebook groups can give you the opportunity to share your knowledge and show others your value. You’ll also organically get to know others, which can be a win, win for everyone!
Your goal is to be active in the group by speaking up, offering advice or helpful feedback, and making connections.
In addition, most groups allow you to add a link to your site or a specific blog post/page containing helpful info or even your services, as long as it’s relevant to the question asked.
This is super awesome for you because not only will you be sending traffic over to your site (and potentially gaining a client or selling a product) but you’ll also be doing something that boosts your SEO rankings. Since Google considers Facebook to be an authoritative, trustworthy site, creating backlinks to your site from Facebook will help you show up higher in a Google search, which can help you create more organic traffic, long-term.
