Today I got up at 7:30, had breakfast and prepared for Sunday Funday. I still felt tired and didn’t feel like pushing myself too much today. I actually almost didn’t go to the workout… but then I came to my senses. Ha!
I drove over to Mission Beach for 9:45. I was surprised there was parking on the street, as it’s usually really hard to find parking in the summer. Maybe it was because it was a little cloudy… but maybe also because there were a lot of other events going on in San Diego this weekend (like Over the Line, for one… which I STILL haven’t been to! Wah.)
There were a ton of new people at the beach workout which was awesome! We are growing! We had a big group and had a really fun workout! I’m loving the energy we are building in these again! The Sunday Funday workouts were down to only a few people for about 2 months ago in the spring, when before that, they were always HUGE, so it’s exciting to see them getting big again.
After the beach workout, I did Zumba and then decided to head out. For some reason I was exhausted. I really don’t know what this exhaustion thing is I’ve been going through, but I don’t like it! I’ve always had tons and tons of energy, but I seem to have lost it this past year. Maybe it’s due to entrepreneur stress of having my own business. Or maybe it’s due in part to some post-traumatic stress I’ve been dealing with since the fall. Whatever it is, I want it to GET LOST!
When I was walking back to my car, I saw my coach Allison playing beach volleyball with a bunch of others. I thought about playing for a split second, but then decided I needed to go home. I did stop by for a few, said my hello’s, and then went on my merry little way.
I got home around 1:00, and made some food. Still feeling tired, I figured maybe I didn’t eat enough because I burned more than I thought I did in the workouts, so I ate more food. That still didn’t really help. So I jumped in the shower, thinking it might help wake me up, but it didn’t. I wanted to drive for Lyft, since it was Sunday and it would probably be busy, but I really didn’t feel like talking to anyone. I decided to chill at home and work on my blog.
I did some more research on Network Marketing and how to make commission off of advertising on your blog. I decided to give it a whirl and wrote my first product review; check out my previous blog post, Quest Bars are the Best Bars (super delicious and good-for-you protein bars, by the way… I’m pretty much OBSESSED.)
After that, I watched an episode of the current show I’m watching on Netflix; Witches of East End (kind of corny, I know, but I have always been into Witch stuff, so there.) After that, I still didn’t have much energy and didn’t feel like talking to anyone, so I continued doing work on my blog and researching other various ways to promote my blog. I started to look up info on Tumblr, since I know absolutely nothing about it, and what I read actually peaked my curiosity, so I decided to set up my own account. I see it as another avenue to get my stuff noticed 🙂 And it’s always good to know as much social media stuff as possible in my line of business! So, I’m looking forward to seeing how that goes! You can find my account at taratierneyblog.tumblr.com. Furthermore, f you have any Tumblr tips for me, please comment below this blog post! Gracias!
After setting up a Tumblr account, I thought, hmmm what else is popular? Then I thought TWITTER. I’ve had Twitter accounts in the past but it never really grew on me, so I deleted all of them. Well, I’m back. Here goes nothing… twitter.com/TaraTierneyBlog
I found this great resource that tells you what the top 9 social networks are and how to use each of them to benefit your business. It might be and oddly long info-graphic, but it’s worth clicking on!
At 11:00 I decided it was time to wind down, as I had to be up at 5:45 in the morning. I don’t like to go to bed without taking my mind off of things that make my mind spin, so I decided to cap the night off with one more episode of Witches of East End and then passed out around 11:45, exhausted. Again.
