I consider this to be a personal development/self discovery "lifestyle blog" that shares the experiences, struggles and discoveries of my personal entrepreneurial journey.
I want to be a self-made success, be able to work from anywhere, work by myself, and live life on my own terms, so I'm teaching myself how to create passive income through blogging and online businesses. I'm blazing my own trail towards less stress, more time freedom and ultimately my dream lifestyle.
I hope by being positive, yet transparent about my own experiences and struggles, I can empower and motivate others to also go after everything they want, stay true to their selves, improve their lives and ultimately find true happiness!
MY DREAM LIFESTYLE =
TO BE SELF-EMPLOYED IN A CREATIVE FIELD.
TO ABSOLUTELY LOVE WHAT I DO.
TO MAKE ENOUGH IN PASSIVE INCOME TO LIVE OFF OF.
TO HAVE MORE TIME FREEDOM + WORK LESS.
TO BE ABLE TO LIVE + WORK ANYWHERE.
TO LIVE WITH THE LEAST AMOUNT OF STRESS POSSIBLE.
TO TRAVEL OFTEN AND SEE THE WORLD.
TO BE A SELF-MADE SUCCESS.
TO BECOME MUCH MORE SELF AWARE OF WHO I AM.
TO FIGURE OUT WHAT MY PURPOSE IS.
TO SEE HOW STRONG I CAN GET.
TO ACHIEVE MY DREAM BODY.
TO STAY REALLY ACTIVE.
TO BE ABLE TO EAT A LOT.
TO LIVE IN THE MOMENT.
TO SURROUND MYSELF WITH GOOD VIBES.
TO BE AN INSPIRATION TO OTHERS.
TO BE HAPPY AS OFTEN AS POSSIBLE.
TO GO ON LOTS OF ADVENTURES + TRY LOTS OF NEW THINGS.
TO BE MORE OF A MINIMALIST + LEARN TO BE HAPPY WITH LESS.

My Other Niche Blogs
I've also created a few other niche blogs that are spin-offs from topics that were doing well on this blog (a great way to monetize quicker and in a bigger way!) Feel free to check them out for inspiration!
How This Blog Started
I started this blog in June of 2014 as a sort of "self-therapy" outlet.
I had been struggling with a massive amount of stress, for about 2 years straight, and felt like I was stuck on an emotional rollercoaster ride, unable to jump off.
I needed some kind of therapy, yet I didn't want to spend a lot of money (money that I didn't have,) on a therapist, nor did I really want to put in the time to search for one who would just "get" me. I also didn't want to keep talking to my friends and family about the same negative stuff over and over again. I felt like I was constantly emanating toxic vibes and the last thing I wanted to do was burden anyone I cared about with that kind of energy.
I knew that writing had always been a good creative outlet for me and so I figured if I had a place where I could vent and write everything out, maybe it could help me process everything better.
I always felt like I was meant to have a blog of some sort, yet I never knew what topic I could write a lot about. I realized this was probably the perfect opportunity for me to get me started with blogging because I definitely had a lot of thoughts, feelings and emotions going on inside of me, just waiting to be unleashed.
However, before I wrote my first blog post, I decided that I didn't want the overall feel of my blog to sound too negative or angry, but be more motivational and inspiring. My goal was to put a positive spin on all the shitty things that had happened, in order to help give myself, as well as my readers, a sense of hope. My hope was that by writing all this stuff out, I would be able to process and understand everything better, and, in turn, it would help me rise above the anger and resentment and become a better person overall.
How This Blog Has Helped Me So Far
This blog has become one of the best things I could have done for myself!
It's helped me organize and process a lot of my negative thoughts, which, in turn, has helped me work through a lot of my own personal struggles and without having to go to therapy (not that that's a bad thing, I just personally didn't want to pay for it.) I now feel like I'm in much more control of my life, which gives me a sense of inner peace. :)
It's also helped me practice my blogging, marketing, writing, and SEO skills and, in turn, has helped me majorly monetize it! In just about three year's time (as of May 2017) I've made over $120,000 of passive income! And the most unbelievable part?! I was able to do this without ads, without having a consistent blogging schedule, and with less than 100 blog subscribers.
And finally, it's helped me realize what I believe is my calling. Blogging is something I've discovered I'm naturally pretty good at, as well as passionate about, so I plan to work harder on it in order to make it more of a full-time income and earn the kind of passive income I need in order to live the lifestyle of my dreams!
Read my story about how blogging helped me pull myself out of depression.
I recently re-branded my design and marketing business to become more of a blog, since I've found over the past few years that I have been much more successful at blogging as opposed to doing service work (creating custom logos and websites for small businesses.)
Whipped Dream is now an online resource for ambitious women who are looking to create their brand and grow their business online. This is essentially what I would have wanted when I first started out as an entrepreneur in 2013.
This new blog will be my "creative outlet" where I can write and create stuff specifically about design, tech stuff, blogging, marketing, passive income, etc., with a goal of helping others help themselves. Basically, it will be a catalogue of how-to's and DIY tutorials focused on helping beginners set up and grow their own successful online businesses or blogs.
I'll also be offering creative and tech services for those who need a little extra help designing their brand and website.
There will also be a Facebook community where these women can find and connect with others who are just like them, which I also wish I had when I was first starting out because I always felt like I had no one who could relate, which was even more of a struggle!
This is just the beginning, but I have so many more ideas and I am hoping to use this coming year (2017) to build it all up! :)
Stay tuned for more!
